Description

Savor a variety of delightful dishes at the annual Black History Soul Food Tasting program. Sponsored by the Jefferson County branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) this year’s program highlights the Storer College Sesquicentennial commemoration. Park Ranger Guinevere Roper will share a power point presentation on the history of the college prior to the tasting. Hosted by the Judea Community Christian Church, this program will take place at the Saint Philip’s Episcopal Church.

First Zion Baptist Church Restoration Project

The Foundation plans to purchase and preserve the Zion Baptist Church on W. Ridge Street in Harpers Ferry for future use as cultural center for Harpers Ferry and Bolivar. The site will also serve a significant role in interpreting history.
