Description

Come walk through historic Harpers Ferry and Bolivar. With a self-paced walk beginning at The Barn in Harpers Ferry (behind the Light Horse Inn, 1084 Washington Street)

Walks begins at 2 and 3:30 PM

An after hike Volks-feast begins at 5 PM at The Barn featuring homemade soup for the soul and soles, craft brews and wine (cash bar) and non-alcoholic beverages.  Tickets available on EventBrite.

All proceeds benefit the Harpers Ferry-Bolivar Historic Town Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization promoting historic preservation and the unique communities of Harpers Ferry and Bolivar.  Organized in cooperation with the U.S. Freedom Walk Festival Club (American Volksport Association).

First Zion Baptist Church Restoration Project

The Foundation has purchased First Zion Baptist Church on W. Ridge Street in Harpers Ferry in order to preserve the building for future use as cultural center for Harpers Ferry and Bolivar. The site will also serve a significant role in interpreting history.
