Bolivar/Harpers Ferry on Washington St
The Canal House Café and the Country Café are favorites for many locals. The Country Café is open for breakfast and lunch, while the Canal House Café is open for lunch and dinner. The Anvil Restaurant, which is open for lunch and dinner, has a full service bar, and can seat large parties of 30-100. And if you want great pizzas and subs, check out Mena's Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant.

Lower Town Harpers Ferry on High and Potomac Streets
The Cannonball Deli is frequented by Park rangers and one can get sandwiches, pizza, and even gyros.

Ice cream can be had at several locations including Scoops, Swiss Miss, and The Coffee Mill. If you prefer shaved ice, you can get that at the Village Shop, as well as fresh baked goods.

The Secret Six is a favorite place for having a meal (and/or beer) on its porch while viewing the glory of Maryland Heights. You can also get a meal with your beer (or wine) at Private Quinn's Pub and the Coach House Grill.

If you have a hankering for some BBQ, then look for the restored train car on Potomac Street - Hannah's Train Depot. And if you want breakfast early (6 am) or dinner late (10 pm), please check out The Town's Inn.

Just Outside of Town
You can grab a bite at the Front Porch Café after your River Rider adventure. There are also not one, but two restaurants at the Quality Hotel - the Vista Gourmet and the Vista Tavern & Grill.

Nearby Charles Town has Other Dining Options
At the Charles Town Races is The Epic Buffet which has an all-you-can-eat extravaganza, and The Skyline Terrace which has a Prime Rib & Seafood Buffet.

There is a nice selection of authentic ethnic dining. La Mezzaluna Café offers Italian cuisine, Mi Degollado Mexican Restaurant serves Mexican favorites, and the Mediterranean Café has Persian cuisine.

You can get your bagels and cream cheese, and subs and sandwiches at Royalicious Bagel Bakery and Deli. And Panera Bread, of course, has sandwiches, soups, salads, and bagels.

Just across the River in Virginia on Harpers Ferry Road
Grandale Farm Restaurant is a great choice for fine dining. It was was recently selected as one of Northern Virginia's Top 50 Restaurants.

First Zion Baptist Church Restoration Project

The Foundation has purchased First Zion Baptist Church on W. Ridge Street in Harpers Ferry in order to preserve the building for future use as cultural center for Harpers Ferry and Bolivar. The site will also serve a significant role in interpreting history.
