Harpers Ferry Foundation Receives Grant from CVB for Promotional Printings
HARPERS FERRY, West Virginia – July 25, 2013 – Harpers Ferry Historical Town Foundation just received a Community Grant from the Jefferson County CVB for $1,600 to reprint our Harpers Ferry - Bolivar Tearsheet Guide for Visitors and to reprint our Harpers Ferry - Bolivar Visitor's Guide.
The tearsheet guide is the primary printed material given to all visitors to our community. It is distributed at the Jefferson County CVB Visitor Centers in Harpers Ferry and Charles Town, the Harpers Ferry National Historical Park Visitor/Information Centers at Cavalier Heights and Lower Town, and at various merchants in Harpers Ferry and Bolivar.
The Harpers Ferry - Bolivar Visitor's Guide has not been updated in several years. It will be redesigned to better target potential visitors to our region, and will be distributed at CVBs and Welcome Centers in the Washington DC - Baltimore Metropolitan Area as well as adjoining areas in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia and in southern Pennsylvania.
The Harpers Ferry Historic Town Foundation is a small, all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to “Preserve, Protect, Promote, and Educate” the small historic towns of Harpers Ferry and Bolivar, the Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, and adjacent heritage areas.
